This series takes the moves of world-class investors, summarizes them in plain language with full credit to the source, then adds our own Thai-market lens. Source this round: SEC 13F filings (Q1 2026) via 13f.info. (A 13F is a fund's quarterly holdings report — filed ~45 days late, so it's a CONVICTION signal, not an entry timer.)
I went through the latest portfolios of five legends — Warren Buffett, Michael Burry, Stanley Druckenmiller, David Tepper, and Leopold Aschenbrenner — and one theme drowned out everything else.
The loudest theme: everyone is rushing into "AI compute"
- Aschenbrenner (an AGI-thesis fund) basically bought the whole chip supply chain — new positions in NVDA, AVGO, AMD, MU, TSM, ASML — and poured into data-center / bitcoin-mining names (CLSK +648%, RIOT +86%), while cutting Intel −81%. - Druckenmiller added AVGO and opened several new tech positions. - Tepper added AMZN +98%, Uber +242%, and more TSM. - Even Buffett, usually slow-moving, added +203% to Alphabet (GOOGL) — the one Big Tech name he's loading.
The flip side was trimming the expensive and the old: Buffett **sold out of Visa, Mastercard, UnitedHealth, and Amazon, while Burry opened new positions in PLTR and NVDA but cleared out China / Big Tech names** (META, BABA, JD).
Our lens: what it means for Thai stocks
(This section is MOEasymmetry's own analysis — these legends did not mention Thai stocks; we drew the links.)
The clearest force in their portfolios is AI infrastructure — chips, servers, and the power that feeds data centers — which maps straight onto Thailand's electronics and power names.
| Theme from the legends (US) | Thai stocks in the same force | Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Chips / servers / AI power (everyone buying semis) | DELTA, KCE, HANA (export electronics) | Structurally positive (pick the RS leaders) |
| Electricity / data centers (AI power demand) | GULF, GPSC (power generators) | Cyclical / selective |
| Trimming expensive consumer finance (Buffett sold Visa/MA) | Thai payment/finance names on stretched valuations | Caution |
How an RS investor uses it
13F tells us which groups the big money believes in — but it's lagged, so we use it as a theme, not a timer. Our job is to take the "structurally positive" themes (chips / AI power) and filter them through RS ≥ 80 + a volume-confirmed breakout on our scanner, keeping only the names where *both the theme and the relative strength line up right now.* In short: 13F says "which group," RS says "which name, and when."
